WoW!!! It has been such a long time since I have any posts....like nearly 2 years!!! Speaking of which my service to the Army is nearing to a break once my disruption starts in Aug.

Between this period since my last update there wasn't any major events that happened....kinda boring huh

But I must say that my judgement on other people has changed. I think I have changed to a snob (LOL!) I can't tolerate anyone who has no manners and those who act so uncultivated. When I am out with someone I expect he/she to dress up to match the venue. Meaning if we are going to Orchard Road he/she must not be in slippers, bermudas...etc. Why I am so particular with dressing you wonder? Because I believe that one represents one's family when out of the house kind of a family ambassador. So if you dress so inappropriately or sloppy does that mean your family is a rubbish dump or have no manners? I strongly believe not so why do people still don't even bother dressing up? Until now I still cannot understand.

Also during this period I kind of developed a dislike to people who cannot carry out a decent smart conversation. Generally I like to hang around with smart people. Smart not in the sense of IQ but in terms of art of conversation. One need not to be smart to carry out smart conversations right?
22nd-Dec-2007 12:44 pm - Outing with 2 fashionable ladies....
Jo, Wai and me went out shopping on thursday. Actually we were all out because Wai and Jo had this waxing thing to be done at Orchard and since we were there not doing a bit of shopping is just so sinful!! (HA HA).

So Jo and Wai set off first and I joined them later only to discover that they were late for the appointment and there was no more slots available until Saturday!! So they then contacted a shop at Paragon asking whether they had any available slots and yes they did but was at 3.40pm. So we lingered around Orchard just for the time to pass and at the mean time Wai got a gray dress from GG<5 which she was eyeing on for quite some time. She was thrilled of course.

So the time was nearly 3.40pm and we started to head towards Paragon and after escoting Wai to the waxing shop Jo and me went our own prowling. And during our walk about I was surprised that Jo actually was interested in an item at Hermès!! She was keen in a Kelly watch with diamonds which costs around 5 grand!! The high pricing is normal at Hermès considering a Birkin bag can easily cost 9 grand to 100 grand depending on what materials is used and what hardware is chosen. I actually plan to get such a bag in the far future though. So we then stopped at a departmental store to look at cosmetics. We were looking at a brand called Rouge Bunny Rouge. Jo bought a lip gloss thing as well as a for face thing. Then we proceed to Muji where Jo bought a cloth hair band and by that time Wai had just finish waxing and she came down to join us.

We hopped onto the MRT and was whisked to City Hall where Raffles City is our next destination. We were there to collect Wai's altered Levi's jeans. We walked around there like Kate Spade, River Island, Coach, Stage..etc and when our feet was tired we rested at of course Starbucks and pictures were also taken....

After which we walked a bit more and we headed for home....

I must say shopping with Fashionable ladies is my favourite thing to do!!!!
22nd-Dec-2007 12:20 pm - Time really flies...
Oh well.....I have finally passed out from BMTC and I have a 2 week block leave and how cool is that. After passing out from BMTC the very next day Wai and me went out promised christmas shopping. We headed for raffles city and the Coach store over there to take a look at the pouch bag that I initially wanted to get for Wai since she did not have a branded bag unlike the rest of the household. So to the Coach store we went and I must say the bag in real life is not that wow at all and the price was like totally unable to justify at all. So I decided not to get it.

After which we went to the Levi's store where Wai said that she want to buy sexy bottoms for herself. After much try ons she chose a denim skirt and a pair of copper jeans and I was the one who paid for it as a christmas present for her in replace of the much disappointing Coach bag. She was thrilled and excited!!

We then headed for L'Occitane to buy some creams or lotions for mum. The gift sets there I must say is very pricy and the stuff in each hamper is not that much. So in there I only got a rose shower gel and a rose scented solid perfume.

We proceeded to Crabtree and Evelyn next where I finally bought a Rosewater traveller set for mom for her christmas present.

Wai did buy me christmas present though. It is a very very cute hand phone pouch from Kokon Tozai.

Wai also pampered herself by buying herself a pair of Geox shoes.

After the intensive shopping we rested at starbucks and after which we headed home.
15th-Oct-2007 09:12 pm - Back from HK and is happy about it!
I am finally back from Hong Kong after a 3 Hrs 10 mins flight!! I am just so looking forward to sleeping in my bed with some occasional cool night breezes. My 14 nights in HK was a suffering seriously!!! The initial 2 nights were very hot and the air conditioning was not working and I was stuck with a table fan which made loud noises. I was like having sleepless nights and this just put me off for the trip. Totally not liking it one bit!!!

So anyways, prior to the departure at Hong Kong international airport. I shopped a little at the stores there as I still have 1200 HKD left. So i decided to just splurge the remaining money on Coach items. I entered the store and there was like so many shoppers in the store and only 2 SA available. So I went straight to look for the stuff that I am plan looking for. After locating it I took a look at the real thing and I approached directly to a SA and I asked her whether there are any more colors available. I must say the SA were kind of old unlike those in Pacific Plaza. The SA then showed me other colors and I compared and then I proceed to make a purchase. The stuff I bought was priced at 520 HKD each and I bought 2 so that left me with 160 HKD.

Then I made my way to the Hong Kong disneyland store and I bought a winne the pooh key chain and tin biscuits for a colleague of mine.

So that really concluded my whole shopping spree in Hong Kong and I must say that with 2200 SGD you can really buy A LOT of neat stuff!!!

Pic of stuff I bought from Coach:

11th-Oct-2007 10:26 am - Shopping frenzy Day 2
After expriencing such an exciting time at day 1 I decided to continue such excitment therefore having a day 2.

Day 2 mother and I went to this place called the festival walk at kowloon tong just to have a walk about. After roughly 30 minutes of travelling time we reached and I started to browse around to search for this clutch bag that I have promised my sis to get.

We made our way to Marc by Marc Jacobs store to check out this clutch that I found it intresting. We located the clutch and I asked how much it costs. It was a whooping 2750 HKD!!!! I was like ok but mom was like WHAT?! Mom whispered whispered saying that to walk around somemore first before really considering buying the velvet clutch.

We then made our way to Guess store. The store was empty and was generally small as this store only sells Guess accessories. After walking one round trying to see this clutch that I found online I decided to just ask the SA since I can't find it. After asking her in English she replied that she do not have it. I was like WTH!! Are you sure?! I mean come on how can a store like this can't even have a clutch especially when I saw it online. Then I saw the clutch!! It was actually on a display drawer which I was unable to take a look in the first place becasue the SA was blocking. I reached out for the clutch and then pointed to her that I was actually refering to this. The SA looked very embarrassed and she should be. Once knowing that I was actually looking for a clutch she promptly took everything that is a clutch. After much looking and selecting and with mom saying that it does look better than the Marc by Marc Jacobs clutch. I agreed with her and I purchased this particular clutch. It was a chocking 795 HKD.

We then walked around the mall further and I told mom halfway that she can buy anything from this mall today and was my treat. She then made her way to Crabtree & Evelyn thinking to buy some lotion for her hand but we came out empty handed because the lotion that she want do not come in the quantity that she wants. What a bummer!

We then made our way to L'Occitane. After the usual browsing and trying the lotions she then decided to have 2 different lotions.

We walked and walked......and I suggested to her why not buy some undergarments from Calvin Klein. She entered the store chose some designs and the next moment was in the fitting room. I was left outside and I decided to myself why not I get some undergarments for myself. After looking at the selections I noticed they have this new line named "steel". Hmmmm.....what is the difference by the way I thought. I then asked one of the SA if there is really a difference. She replied that the difference will only be the fabric and the colour of the waist band. I then decided to buy 3 pairs. Mom decided not to get anything by the way as she find the design does not fit her.

At this point, both of us felt tired and decided to head home. But before that I pulled mom to a Godiva store and then tolde her to choose any chocolate she wants. She then told me that she was not sure of what she want so I decided for her. I told the male staff there to include each flavour of the truffle except one.

After which we finally headed home....

Stuff I bought:

10th-Oct-2007 07:30 pm - Shopping frenzy Day 1
Life in Hong Kong was boring since my entry until.....8 OCT!!! That was the day that my pay had been transferred to my bank account and this means that shopping is finally possible for me!! YAY!!!

On that day, I made my way to the United centre at Admiralty to draw my $$. During the process of withdrwal I then realised that each time I can only withdraw max 4000 HKD. Darn!!! That means that I need to withdraw mutiple times.

After finally managed to withdraw the desired amount, I made my way to pacific place which have a lot of luxury brands including Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Coach, Dior...etc.

I made my way to Hermes thinking to get myself a key charm. When I made my way in I accidentally pushed the door to far wide that it banged onto something!!! All the sales associates (SA) looked at my direction and man I was so embarrassed!!! Trying to act nothing had happened I approached a male SA and asked about the key charm. To my very very big disappointment, their store only have 2 miserable key charms!!! A beaver and a pear. I was thinking to myself WTF!! So I asked whether others stores have a wider selection and he made a couple of calls and do you know what? Another store only got a cat!!!! So in the whole of HK, there are only 3!!! I was near fainting and I asked whether he know when new ones will be coming. He said that he was unsure and he suggested to leave my contacts so that once new ones come in he can contact me. I told him that might be not possible as I will be leaving on the following sunday. After thanking him I left the shop TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED!!! Argh!!!!

After suffering from such rotten luck at Hermes I tried to look positive at my next stop, LV. I was greeted once entering the store and I started to look around for my wallet that I was eyeing for a long time but I it was not in sight. So I decided to just approach a female SA. I described to her the wallet in and she was actually confused. She then brought out the catalogue and was flipping through trying to point out the wallet that I might be trying to describe. But I know the wallet was a seasonal release so it will not be in the catalogue. So I then explain to her that it is from the latest collection and it might not be in the catalogue. She finally understood and she showed me the wallet. I must say that the wallet was great!!! The leather was smooth to touch and the finishings were great!!! I asked whether there were other colours as she showed me the one in charcoal grey. She replied yes and she showed me the one in burgundy. After much comparison, I decided to take the burgundy. The SA then asked whether I need to take a look at other things and indeed I need. I told her that I was interested in this key and change holder in Epi leather. She then showed me the way to another counter where she took out the holder. After taken a close look, I asked whether they have one in mandarin colour. After a few tapping on the keyboard she said that it was not available and only have it in black. Haiz......i got no choice but to accept the black Epi key and change holder. The total costs mounts up to a bomb of 5050 HKD!!!! whew!

After leaving the LV store feeling quite satisfied, I made my way to the next store - Coach. Once in I walked a round the store trying to locate the pouch bag that I intended to get for mom. After completing a full round, I could not locate the bag! When I was about to ask a SA I finally saw it. It was actually located behind the cashier counter under the Coach signage. What a strange way to display.....Anyways I stood there and look at the bag and this SA noticed and asked me whether i want to take a closer look. She then took it from the shelf and handed it to me. I observe the bag and I told her that i would take it. I then told her I would also be interested in something else too and I actually also bought that item as well. The SA then asked whether the items were gifts and would like to gift wrap or not. I replied yes.

After leaving the store I felt so so so satisfied!!! And at this point I have already spent more than half of the amount that I planned to spent.

Some eye candies:

1st-Oct-2007 09:06 pm - 1st day.......
Well, it was the first day of my job free day. I woke up at around 7.15am, continue to be in bed until around 7.20pm. Finally able to get myself out of the bed and to get already for my trip!!! (YAY)

I was at my block down staris at around 8.30am and was standing like an idiot until around 9am when I finally got a cab......(darn) Reached terminal 2 at around 9.20 and was able to check-in pretty fast. After which, my sis and I went to starbucks to grab a cuppa. So until 10am my mum and I went in to get pass the immigration. Walk about....walk about....after getting the cigarettes then we proceeded to our gate E26....when I was about to go through the security screening....I noticed this lady in front of me having a pink BIRKIN BAG WITH GOLD HARDWARE!!! I reckon that it is a 35cm or 30cm. This really got me excited!!!

After getting myself comfy in this new model of the aircraft B777-300ER, the plane took off. Nothing special happen on the aircraft except that there is A LOT of tuberlance that caused the crew service to be suspended for 2 times!!! I reckon becuase of the typhoon LEKIMA which is raging over the south China sea and because of this the aircraft actually took a longer route instead of the straight towards hong kong.

Anyways we arrve safetly to Hong Kong international airport....clear immigration and collected our luggages....took A41P home....dumped the luggages and went downstairs to grab a bite at cafe de coral.

After eating we went back home bath and rest.

This concluded my first day in HK!!!
1st-Jun-2007 09:06 pm - What the....
I seriously got nothing to do nowadays exceot working and resting.....I am now working as a temp Pharmacy assistant in a polyclinic and it is really taking a toll on my life!!! Everyday i will be doing the same thing over and over again...I this just too mundane and i am getting sick of it!!!

Anyways I have been accepted into a NTU (YAY!) and i am seriously happy. After experience a pharmacy work life in a polyclinic, I seriously reconsider whether I want to be a pharmacist in the future....

And very recently I have just placed my order of 2 chemistry books via Amazon.com so as to aid me in refreshing my memories on the topic itself and it cost me a BOMB!

Finally, until now I am still NOT looking forward to NS.
......This semester (3rd yr 1st sem) is really not a semester for me......There are just too much problems and worries that suddenly charge towards me and I am unbale to handle them at all! To start off with, I was diagnosed with essential hypertension and the doctor actually prescribed me a 25mg daily Atenolol therapy. This freakin drug caused me to feel tired like 24/7 and I had difficulty in concentrating on what I am doing and I feel more irritable. Because I feel more irritable, my threshold to many things like Crap talk, Lame jokes, childish behaviour..etc are greatly reduced. Therefore it is the best for me to just keep quiet, be deaf and blind......therefore some how or another a new "personality" is born. I will be having a depressed look on my face and I will be very quiet.......On top of this, my emotions were also put to the test......and this caused me to have almost no motivation to do anything.........haiz.........On top of that I have learned that showing care and concern for someone does not neccessary means that the person will reciprocate....
2nd-Apr-2006 10:52 pm - Holidays are boring!!!!!
Well well well........holidays are here again which we should all be rejoicing as that marks the end of all exams and stress. But for me the holidays are dreadful if I do not go overseas!!! Why? Because Singapore is a boring place to spend the holidays!!!! There is nothing to shop, going to a particular place takes a super long time and most importantly the people are BORING!!! Luckily, I joined Dr Lim's project to relieve myself from such agony.

The project was super duper FUN!!! We get to use different type of apparatus and machine. We also learned chemistry stuff in more details. We are synthesizing alpha amino HDAC inhibitor anyways...

Haiz.......I just can't wait for school to start!!!!
